A Brief history
The Goods Merchant is owned and ran by me, Tim Payne. I have been a lover of all things nerdy since I was a young kid watching episodes of Star Trek the Next Generation and Sea Quest with my father. My love affair with table top rpgs comes from a sleepover in Middle school where a friend had rented the Dungeons and Dragons the movie. We loved the movie as kids and it remain’’ my favorite bad film to this day. But the special feature had a mini documentary about the history of D&D and the experience of some of the cast and crew growing up playing it. We were hooked and ran out the next week to buy the Dungeons and Dragons 3rd edition rule books and started playing soon after. Throw in wargaming in highschool and tcg’s off and on since the height of the Star wars card game and now 20 years later I have taken all that nerd gaming experience and used it to start my own small crafting business where I try to make fun gaming accessories for nerds by nerds.
Goal of the store
The Goal of the store is to bring high quality products covering all of table top gaming to people at an affordable price. I was once a young gaming nerd using books as mountains and chess pieces as dungeon walls as I sat behind a DM screen made of tape and computer paper. I have progressed just a little bit since then in my crafting ability's and hope to pass that expertise onto all my customers.
